Video

The main part of the video was taken in Prague, and some scenes were added later.
There are some frequently-asked-questions about this video.

1. Which guitar is Matthew playing?
It's a black Fender Telecaster (no, he doesn't own one of his guitars)
2. What does the little girl do during the video?
She's a kind of sorceress (or something like that, you know...). If you pay attention, you'll notice several strange "magic symbols" appearing in her room (eg the painting on the wall with the fruit and the male/female symbols). If I remember exactely, she has one of those symbols drawn on her face... She plays with the nature (have you noticed the flying lights?). This is why, during the video, you can see rain, wind, snow falling on Dom, Chris and Matt.

Other questions

Some details about this song (the recorded version mainly)

- This song was recorded with Matthew's first custom guitar - the aluminium-covered one. Why? Because the other custom guitars were produced later!
- This song is played with D-tuned guitars. In other words, the 6th string is tuned to D (one step lower than standard pitch).
- Oh, I've always seen him using this guitar live...
- The intro isn't played by a guitar!!! On the album - and live too - Matthew plays an elec. piano.
- The "heavy fuzz" sound (the first guitar you can hear in the album version) is obtained with the Fuzz Factory (one of Matthew's favourite effects, built into his guitars).
- The sound in the solo is obtained with a Digitech WH-4 Whammy, set up 1 octave higher.
- Sometimes, while playing live, Matthew ends the piano part with a long-sustained, high-pitched squealing sound: this is achieved by making the Fuzz Factory (again!?!), produce feedback (if you play guitar, you know what I mean...)
